  • The Chronicler Presents... Whale Bones

    Submitted by: Melanie Callahan

Last year, Dr. Robert Scott, professor of sustainable resource management and director of Bonne Bay Marine Station, and his students removed a sperm whale skeleton from the beach north of Rocky Harbour. The whale has been in the compost pile at Grenfell Campus since then. On Tuesday, a group of students from the Marine Mammals course at BBMS removed the bones from the compost pile to clean them up.
