Corner Brook Public Library – GO Engagement Lecture Series

Dr. Rainer Baehre will present a lecture titled  "Regional Health Care in Western Newfoundland: Early History from pre-Cottage Hospital to General Hospital"  at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15th.




The Historical Studies Program and the Grenfell Opera Series present:

Now we are sampling some later eighteenth-century opera!  This opera is based on the classical Greek play by Euripides and revolves around the themes of love and sacrifice. We will be watching the contemporary adaptation from the Stuttgart Opera (DVD screening; French with English subtitles).

Sunday, February 5th, 2017, 7:00p.m.  Forestry Centre FC2014 (Grenfell Campus, MUN).  An opera summary and introduction (along with refreshments) will be provided.  Admission is free.  For more information, contact Edwin Bezzina (637-2191).
