Professor Hancock has over 20 years of French education and over 10 years of French teaching experience. She graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French (honours) and in 2013 with a Masters degree in French from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her current research interests include French translation and translation theory, with specific interest in self -translation and the bilingual author. Other areas of interest include Canadian Literature (with particular focus on bilingual authors) in addition to Comparative Literature, as well as the links between culture, language, literature and translation. She is also constantly developing materials for French courses to fit the needs of her students.
