Environmental science

 

Canadian Society for Chemistry Silver ​​M​​edal 

This medal is presented annually to the student at Grenfell Campus with the highest average in third-year Environmental Chemistry courses. The award is made by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards upon the recommendation of the Head of Science at the campus ​

Decker Family Environmental Scholar​s​​hip

This scholarship, valued at $1,000 will be awarded  annually to a student enrolled at Grenfell Campus either in the Bachelor of Science Program in Environmental Science, the Bachelor of Arts program in Environment Studies, the Bachelor of Resource Management program in Sustainable Resource Management.  Students must meet the minimum academic requirement for a scholarship.  The award will be made by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on the recommendation of the Grenfell Campus Scholarship Committee.

Environmental Science Merit Scholar​​sh​​ip

One Merit Scholarship, valued at $2,500.00 annually will be awarded to an outstanding student entering the fourth year of the Environmental Science program at Grenfell Campus. It will be awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on the basis of scholarship standing and a recommendation from the Chair of Environmental Science, Grenfell Campus. Download Application

Canadian Beverage Association Scholar​ship (Refreshments Canada Scholars​hip)

This scholarship, donated by the soft drink industry of Newfoundland and Labrador, is valued at $2,000.00 and will be awarded annually to an outstanding full-time student beyond first year of the Environmental Science Program at Grenfell Campus. It will be awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on the Basis of scholarship standing and a recommendation from the Scholarship Committee at Grenfell Campus in consultation with the Chair of Environmental Science.

Grenfell Campus Award for Excellence in​​ Fourth Year Environmental Ch​​emistry 

The Award for Excellence in Fourth Year Environmental Chemistry is awarded to the Grenfell Campus student with the highest average over their fourth year environmental chemistry courses.  The courses must all be taken in the same academic year.

University Medal for Academic E​​​xcellence in Environmental​​​ Science

The University Medal for Academic Excellence in Environmental Science is given in the graduating year to candidates for the Bachelor's degree who are recommended by the Head of the Division.
