• Grenfell faculty presented at international conference

    Dr. Jose Lam

    ​Professors Dr. Jose Lam and  Dr. Greg Wood recently presented separate papers at an international conference themed: “Business 2025: Driving Growth through Strategic Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Digitisation” in Delhi, India.


    The conference presentations provided an overview of the shift to global GDP growth that is predicted to come from emerging markets. While digitalization of global economy is shifting the power to all regions of the world, many areas rich in resources are thriving. New technologies are allowing for further utilization of these resources but caution must be exercised in determining what advance is the next big breakthrough and business leaders must have a plan or model to deal with these innovations and advances.

    Dr. Wood presented on "Entrepreneurial tour operators:  A case study of innovation in sustainable tourism in Costa Rica."

    Dr. Lam presented research that he's been doing in India since July 2017. The title of the presentation was "Challenges of MSME exporters in Delhi (NCR): The case for product and market innovations." He also co-presented with Dr. Hidekazu Sone of Shizuoka University of Art and Culture research on the Suzuki family business. The title of the presentation was "Innovation culture in a family business: The case of Suzuki Motor Corporation."
