YIMBY IM4000 Dual Chamber Tumbling ComposterComposting at Grenfell

One of the main focuses of Grenfell Campus's Sustainability Committee is determining best practices for our campus in terms of waste management. Several studies and initiatives have been conducted on campus, including the recent offering of backyard composters to faculty, staff and students. Research activity has included studies such as "Gauging the Grenfell Campus Community's View on Composting and Potential On-Campus Composting Options " (Jason Diamond, Grenfell Campus, April 28, 2017).

Currently the committee is investigating other possible methods of waste management on campus, such as the use of vermiworm composting.

Education is critical when it comes to waste management; in the near future an information session will be conducted to inform the Grenfell community how they can maximize the efficiency of their composters.
