Faculty & Staff Computing Accounts

To request a new computing account, complete the new account request form and bring it to the Help Desk located in the Pool Viewing Area (AS367).

If filling out the form for an employee that hasn't yet started, we will not give out the password until the new employee signs off on the account request form.

  • Change Your Password

When you receive a computer account, you are assigned a password. This password is your responsibility, is used for all computer access (including e-mail), and can be changed at any time.

To prevent others from guessing your password, you should:
  • mix letters and numbers
  • make it more than 4 or 5 characters
  • change it regularly
    • When you log in for the first time, you may receive a message indicating that you are required to change your password. If you receive this message, do the following:
    1. Enter a new password and press TAB
    2. Re-enter the password again and select OK
    3. A confirmation message will appear - select OK

 To delete the cache:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Select Tools | Internet Options.
  3. Under the General tab, select the delete files button in the Delete Temporary Internet Files section.
  4. A small window will appear.
  5. Select Delete all offline content

  7. The cache files will start to be removed (this may take a few minutes).
