Learn about the Canadian health system and key information about health insurance. Students will be given Medical Care Plan (MCP) forms to fill-out if eligible.

Learn more about how to open a bank account in Canada and what are the most effective ways to transfer funds from and to your country.

Scavenger Hunt

Discover your new surroundings. Work in teams with returning students and try to locate key resources, people, and areas on campus.


When you are done, join us in the airport lounge and enjoy coffee and snacks.

Free time

  • Have dinner at the Grove (Dining Hall)

  • Explore Corner Brook if you have warm clothing.

  • Play board games in the International Lounge with your new friends.

  • Get some rest in your room.

  • Use the Library or other campus resources

Rock N Bowl International Students Social

Play bowling in a different atmosphere with rock music and disco lights. All international and domestic students are welcome.


Activity open to all students. Space is limited, reserve early.


Cost of attendance: $20 including the admission cost and transportation.
