Walking tour of the city

Take a walking tour of the city to see some of the local stores and shopping areas.  The tour will end at a local grocery store where you can pick up some groceries.

English Placement Test

AS 350

If you will be completing your degree at Grenfell Campus (and are not starting your studies in IEP/IEBP-G), and were required to provide proof of English proficiency in the form of a standardized test such as TOEFL or IELTS for admission to Memorial University, you must write the English placement test. This test will determine which English class is most appropriate for you (either ENGL1000 or ENGL1020). Please email the ESL Coordinator (esl@grenfell.mun.ca) to register.

Open to ALL international students.  Come to this session to hear about what our insurance plan covers, and how you may be eligible to apply for Newfoundland's free medical care plan (MCP).

Day Field Trip to Gros Morne – Saturday, September 16

Cost: $10 (you also MUST bring your own lunch)
Sign up at the Student Housing office beginning on Wednesday, September 6.

We will be visiting the following sites:

  • Discovery Centre 
  • Tablelands
  • Bonne Bay Passenger Ferry 
  • Bonne Bay Marine Station
  • Rocky Harbour 
  • Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse
