Teddy Bear Clinic

AS Extension Atrium, Grenfell Campus

Teddy feeling a little under the weather? Bring your favorite stuffy along to the Teddy Bear Clinic for an annual check-up by Western Regional School of Nursing students. Enjoy story time, snacks, face-painting, and lots of fun activities while you’re taking care of your bear. Parents/guardians can pre-register their kids by emailing teddybearclinic@grenfell.mun.ca. (While admission will be free, donations to Western Regional Hospital Foundation will be accepted).

All over campus

The annual scavenger hunt returns with even more prizes to be unearthed. Ten envelopes have been hidden throughout Grenfell Campus; we will post clues on social media and our new I Love Grenfell app! Follow us on Twitter for updates.

Were you a member of Grenfell’s first class? Let us take you to lunch and give you an up-close-and-personal look at today’s Grenfell Campus. Join Dr. Mary Bluechardt, vice-president (Grenfell Campus), for a campus tour and see how far we’ve come in 40 years.

Grab your mug and join us for some tea/coffee and cake as we celebrate Grenfell’s 40th Anniversary with VP Mary Bluechardt.

Join a panel of Grenfell faculty and staff who will regale us with tales of Grenfell when they were students here. Lots of stories about the “good old days” and the “not so old days.” Faculty and staff will represent each of the four decades.

Folks from all over Corner Brook are gathering at the Grenfell Market to support our local arts and crafts, along with international artistries. Visit the stalls and booths and join in the festive mood! Lots to do, including games, food, yoga and a photo booth.

Western Regional School of Nursing students and staff will be on site during Grenfell Fair with health and wellness sessions, including tips for eating well on a student budget and ideas to help reduce stress.  Enjoy a tasty fruit lollipop or a fresh smoothie, and join us for a relaxing yoga session.

Lunch around the World

Arts and Science atrium, Grenfell Campus

Join us for “Lunch around the World!” It’s a showcase of the diverse cuisine and cultures that many nationalities bring to our Grenfell Campus community. Meet students, faculty and staff from other nations, sample a wide variety of international cuisines, view artwork and enjoy music from other countries. Please bring a non-perishable food item to support the Grenfell Campus Food Bank.
