  • Volunteers Needed - Heart and Stroke Foundation

    Job Description:

February is Heart Month - we need your Help!

The Heart and Stroke Foundation is looking for student volunteers to canvass a section in their community during the month of February which is "Heart Month".  Being a volunteer canvasser is an easy and flexible way to make a different in the fight against the leading cause of death in Newfoundland and Labrador.  By opening doors in your neighbourhood during the coldest month of th eyear, you'll be warming the hearts of thousands affected by heart disease and stroke.

By volunteering as a canvasser in your community you can get the hours that you need in order to graduate and volunteer hours are also good on your resume or if you plan on attending post secondary school.  The number of hours you canvass depend on you but if you could volunteer 2-3 hours of your time to open doors in your neighbourhood this February - it will have a huge impact on thousands of Canadians.  As a canvasser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation you will go door-to door to:  ask for funds to support life saving Heart and Stroke Foundation research; raise awareness by handing out Heart Month brochures;thank neighbours for supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation

We need your support - because heart disease and stroke takes the lives of 1 in 3 people before their time.

If you are interested in volunteering some time during February -please email Michelle Antle - michelle.antle@hotmail.com
