International Student Pre-Arrival Information
Airport Pickup Program
Grenfell Campus is pleased to offer all NEW international students an airport pickup service. All you have to do is to fill out the airport arrival form at http://www.grenfell.mun.ca/student-services/international/Pages/airport-pickup.aspx
and send a copy of your flight itinerary to firstname.lastname@example.org
Peer Correspondence Program
Peer Correspondence is a great program to help you prepare to come to Grenfell. It allows new students to connect with current international students to talk about living and studying at Grenfell Campus. To get connected with our current students click here: http://www.grenfell.mun.ca/student-services/international/Pages/peer.aspx
Student Housing is an exciting place to live as it adds to the experience you will have as a newcomer to Grenfell. The move in date for all new students is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, 00:01am. If you are planning on arriving earlier than the dates posted above you may have to incur additional expenses to stay in a hotel until your room is ready. You will also need to inform the Student Housing Office to let them know of your intended arrival date.
Care Kit Program
It is important for you to be aware that Student Housing does NOT provide bedding or linens in rooms. You will need to bring those items with you or purchase them during your first few days here. Therefore, Student Services is offering new international students the option to purchase a CARE KIT package. Care Kit will include the following items:
- 1 set of sheets,
- 1 blanket/comforter,
- 1 towel,
- 1 hand towel,
- 1 wash cloth,
- 1 plate,
- 1 glass,
- 1 mug,
- 1 bowl,
- 1 knife,
- 1 teaspoon,
- 1 soup spoon
If you would like to order a Care Kit, you can do so when you request your airport pickup or you can email email@example.com
. Kits are being offered for $50 Canadian CASH ONLY. Please have your payment available upon arrival to receive your kit.
In order to receive a kit upon arrival you will have to pre-order so it is important to do that prior to travelling to Grenfell Campus.
