Student Orientation 2015
Our goal is to instill the pride of the Warriors into our new students that will carry with them throughout their studies and into their future vocations. We operate our orientation much like our Canadian counterparts, making the transition into university programs easier and successful, while having fun. We believe that this is a new chapter in the lives of our students, and we want to welcome them with open arms as they join our family.
We are the Warriors, a name passed on since the Campus opened in 1975 under the name of Memorial Community College, then Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. The Warriors is a symbol of how we work together, as all parts equal, moving forward to conquer our obstacles. A theme for orientation week as the Grenfell Class of 2019 meets their fellow classmates and new friends.
During orientation, students will learn about the academic expectations of the university and its faculty. They will make important university contacts and learn to become part of the community and guide them towards the departments and services that’ll help make their experience outstanding.
Our first priority is to create fun filled events for our campus, to welcome our students with pride.
