Scott Porter, BA, B.Comm, CPA, CMA
Associate vice-president (Grenfell Campus) administration and finance
Prior to coming to Grenfell Campus, Mr. Porter held the position of vice-president, finance and administration at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology, one of Ontario’s largest colleges offering more than 200 degree, diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs to 43,000 students.
While at Fanshawe, Mr. Porter oversaw a $235-million operating budget and a $114-million capital plan. He led the development of financial health indicators for Ontario colleges and explored the development of college campuses internationally. He is experienced in writing policy statements incorporating strategic values in a variety of streams, including governance and finance.
He also brings experience in post-secondary education from positions with the University of Western Ontario and Keyano College in Alberta.
Mr. Porter holds a bachelor of arts (mathematics) from the University of Western Ontario, a bachelor of commerce from the University of Windsor (accounting) and is a chartered professional accountant.
