Grenfell Office of Engagement, Grenfell Campus in collaboration with the Town of St. Anthony delivered a regional development conference in St. Anthony in November 2016. The goals of the conference were to identify the challenges and mobilize the opportunities for initiating and maintaining sustainable regional development in the St. Anthony and the region.
Titled “Our Way Forward: Sharing Knowledge and Building Capacity for Regional Development, the conference highlighted regional government and services, and areas of economic opportunities. Through knowledge sharing and dialogue, sessions focussed on: (1) fishery, port facilities and export opportunities, (2) instilling a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and, (3) strengthening tourism development. The conference took place from , at the Grenfell Interpretation Centre, St. Anthony.
