Are you a senior interested in participating in research?
The Aging Research Centre-Newfoundland and Labrador encourages older adults across Newfoundland and Labrador to participate in our research. The purpose of the Research Participant Database is to provide an easy way to connect people who are interested in taking part in research with local researchers.
The Research Participant Database was established by Grenfell Campus to enlist members of the public interested in taking part in research of various kinds, and is currently managed by ARC-NL. The database is a general one encouraging the enlistment of adult members of the public in research projects, including those who have children WHO could be considered for participation in research. ARC-NL particularly encourages older adults to sign up as a Research Participant for potential inclusion in research related to aging.
By joining, you’ll receive information about research studies that may interest you. By participating in these studies you will contribute to scientific knowledge, learn about local research, and in some studies you may receive payment or other incentives. You are never obligated to take part in any of the study opportunities that are sent to you, and you’re welcome to leave the participant pool at any time.
All research study opportunities will have been reviewed and approved by ethics boards acting in accordance with the Canadian Tri-Council Policy Statement for research involving human participants. If you have ethical concerns about this participant pool, you may contact the Ethics Office at 709-864-2561, or through Email at icehr@mun.ca.
