Tong Liu graduated from Grenfell Campus of Memorial University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. As an International Business Research Assistant on the CBPPL projects, she researched the Asian market potential for two products based on the forest industry: black pellets and activated carbon. The purpose is to highlight some major trends that will help Corner Brook Pulp and paper Ltd. (CBPPL) decide on which products to develop. She conducted analysis of three aspects: environmental analysis, which analyze the external business environment in political, economic, social cultural, technological, environmental, and legal factors; industrial analysis, which clarifies five forces Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Ltd. should consider for entering the new international markets; business market analysis, which provided reference on market prospects, market size and potential, and market target. The project was completed with a research report based on her research findings and it was presented to both the management team of CBPPL and Memorial University Office of Engagement.
