Formal Grenfell-SJCJC Articulation (Block Transfer) Agreement
The Grenfell Business program and St. John’s College Junior College (SJCJC) currently have a formal articulation agreement that provides a pathway for SJCJC business graduates to complete an undergraduate degree at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University.
Graduates of SJCJC’s two-year business administration associate degree program may apply for advanced standing in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Grenfell Campus; students must first apply for admission to Memorial University on or before the deadlines specified in the
University Diary for the semester in which they intend to begin their program.
If accepted to the University and approved for advanced standing, (i.e., SJCJC graduates from the two-year Business Administration Associate Degree program must have a minimum average of 75% in their diploma), students will be awarded 60 credit hours of transfer credits applicable to the Grenfell BBA degree program. An additional 60 credit hours for the Grenfell BBA must be completed as outlined below.
If completed in sequence, this program can be completed in 2 years full course load (5 courses/semester), although students may also choose to study over a longer period of time on a part-time basis.
Students are responsible to track their progress and consult with the program requirements each term to ensure that degree requirements are being met. Note that many courses have pre-requisites and must be taken in a specific sequence; courses are not offered in all semesters and pre-requisites will not be waived, so course planning is critical.
