Teaching and Research Interests

I primarily teach courses that focus on ideas, experiences, and people. My typically teaching schedule includes core and elective marketing courses, introduction to business, and experiential learning electives in related fields such as event planning. I also supervise undergraduate students through the Memorial University Undergraduate Career Experience Program (MUCEP) and serve as the faculty advisor to the Grenfell Business Society.

My general area of research interest is centred on branding and consumption of sport, especially as these relate to the creation of community and the role of place in building communities. Other areas of research I am also keenly interested in are teaching and learning methods and curriculum development for contemporary learners, as well as understanding management experiences and challenges in producing major events (in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors).
