Tracey Hoyt
Guest Instructor
A BFA graduate of the Theatre Performance program at York University, Tracey taught Improvisation extensively at Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto and The Second City Training Centre. She created and ran the commercial voice-over training program Pirate Voice out of Pirate Toronto and now prepares voice talent for remote self-taped auditions and in-studio commercial demo reel recordings. In addition to being the Voiceover Masterclass instructor for Theatre Grenfell in 2020, Tracey has led workshops for Hart House Creativity School and The Graduate Studies Program at The University of Toronto, been a guest Instructor and panelist at Niagara College, The Humber Schools Comedy and Broadcasting and extensively at ACTRA Toronto. Tracey is a proud member of AACE - the Association of Acting Coaches and Educators. As a specialty private coach, she was a presenter at the Canadian Theatre Educators (CTEC) Conference in 2018 and the Acting Educators Conference for Got Your Back Canada in 2019. As an actor, she just completed a summer tour of Bonnie Green's comedy Meet My Sister and recently narrated her late mother Allie Jean Hodder’s Cape Breton coming-of-age memoir Judy and Me.
