The Western Regional School of Nursing, part of Memorial University's Grenfell Campus, offers the collaborative nursing program in partnership with Memorial University Faculty of Nursing (MUN FON) and the Centre for Nursing Studies (CNS) in St. John's. The collaborative nursing program has earned the highest
accreditation award in nursing education: a full seven-year accreditation from
the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN), the national accrediting
body for nursing education in Canada.
Opened in 1969, close to 2,000 professional nurses have graduated from program to work in health care around the world.
