Stay warm
The weather in Newfoundland has four distinct seasons; winter, spring, summer and fall. Average winter temperatures can range from 0 degree Celsius to -20 degree Celsius. It is important to bring clothing suitable for this type of weather. It is easier to adapt to the changing temperatures when wearing layers.
Purchase a Care-Kit ($70)
It is important to consider that if you are landing in the middle of the night, you will not be able to go to a store right away. More than likely, you will be able to go on the next day. That means that, unless you packed sheets and a pillow with you, you will have to sleep directly on the mattress for your first night if you live at one of our on-campus residences. Purchasing a care-kit in advance ensures that you have the essentials waiting for you in your room and it frees up valuable space in your luggage.
Reserve your care-kit now.
